Choose Your Niche Live Workshop

Struggling to Choose Your Niche?

This live workshop will help you figure out who you actually want to work with.

If you keep going back and forth, unsure what types of clients to focus on, this workshop will help you narrow it down in a way that makes sense for you and your practice.

You’ve probably heard it over and over: “You need to pick a niche.”

But it’s hard to know how to do that if you’re not sure what types of clients and issues you’re most passionate about, or if you’re worried about limiting yourself by focusing on just one type of client.

The core of therapy marketing is connection and trust.

To connect with prospective clients and build enough trust for them to feel safe taking the next step and booking an appointment, you need to show that you get them, that you work with people just like them, and that you understand them deeply.

If you try to work with everyone, it becomes very hard to create website messaging that truly resonates, because it ends up too generic.

Focusing on a specific niche means you can create messaging that speaks directly to that niche.

This builds trust and safety. And trust and safety turn prospective clients into booked appointments.

Niching down can feel uncomfortable.

It’s often the part of marketing that therapists struggle with the most.
It’s very common to be thinking:
  •  “I like working with different types of clients”

  • “I don’t want to limit myself”

  • “What if I choose the wrong niche?”

  • “Won’t I get fewer clients if I just work with one type of client?”

It feels counterintuitive, but the more specific your niche, the more clients you tend to get.

Because your messaging becomes more tailored to the pain, challenges, and desired future of the people you want to work with.

All of your marketing, your website, social media, referrer relationships, and directories, becomes more effective and leads to more booked appointments when you narrow your niche.

This practical live workshop is designed to help you:

  •  Figure out who you actually want to work with
  • Narrow it down in a way that feels comfortable and right for you

In this 2-hour live session, you’ll:

  • Work through guided exercises to identify the clients you naturally connect with
  • Explore different ways to structure your niche
  • Leave with a clear direction of who your ideal client is, so you can create messaging that connects and moves people into paid appointments

You won’t be pushed into choosing something too narrow.

We'll look at how to

  • Start broader if needed
  • Refine over time
  • Structure your niche so it still feels flexible

This workshop is for you if:

  • You’re a solo therapist in the early stages of your private practice
  • You feel stuck trying to choose your niche
  • You keep going back and forth on who to focus on working with
  • Your marketing isn’t bringing in consistent clients

Meet Miranda

After working in senior marketing roles in private healthcare in Australia and London for over 10 years, in 2016 I founded Marketing for Mental Health Practitioners, a boutique marketing agency dedicated to working with solo therapists.

I understand that as a therapist the idea of having to market yourself can feel uncomfortable. An important aspect of my role as a marketing mentor is to help my clients change the narrative when it comes to marketing, and help them see that when using value-based, ethical marketing, marketing is simply helping them become more visible, so their ideal clients can find them and get the help they need.

What was really important to me when creating my agency was to incorporate training and resources, and to empower therapists with marketing skills and knowledge to give them more control over their practice success.

I love supporting therapists to grow their practices, and feel very grateful that each day I get to work with such amazing people doing so much good in the world.

What our clients are saying.....

"Through our work together, I am now receiving steady enquiries for my therapy practice."

I have truly enjoyed and appreciated working with Miranda. Through our work together, I am now receiving steady enquiries for my therapy practice. I’m also building confidence and skills in regularly posting on social media, writing a blog, and reviewing stats for Google Ads. Miranda brings a genuine and reliable approach to everything she does. She is highly responsive, really listens to her clients’ needs, and works collaboratively for the success of the practice. Thank you, Miranda.

"One of the best parts was how many new ideal clients started coming in."

Working with Miranda over the past six months has been such a great experience. She really gets the mental health space. Everything she created felt like a natural fit for my values and how I like running my private practice.

She took care of all the key areas - social media, SEO, ads, etc. - and did it in a way that was transparent, consistent, and really effective. One of the best parts was how many new ideal clients started coming in. She really nailed how to reach the right people, and that had a big impact on my practice.

On top of all that, she was lovely to work with - always easy to get in touch with, open to feedback, and super reliable. I honestly really appreciated having her doing my marketing and look forward to continuing working with her.

"I think that what sets Miranda apart is that she is a genuine marketing professional."

I have spoken to, worked with, and in some cases paid a lot of money to, a lot of different people who have said that they can help me with marketing my private practice. Miranda is not only far and away the best marketing professional I have ever worked with, she is also an absolute pleasure to collaborate with.

I think that what sets Miranda apart is that she is a genuine marketing professional. She knows how to create a compelling story, she knows how to get clients to convert, she knows how to keep marketing costs low, and most importantly of all she knows how to get results.

Within two months with Miranda I was spending significantly less each month on Google Ads and getting 5 times the number of clients. Miranda also skilled me up to continue on my own and helped me create a roadmap for my marketing

Miranda is responsive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping. At this point, I honestly can’t imagine working with anyone else. If you're feeling lost or frustrated with your marketing, do yourself a favour and just speak to Miranda.

"The initial stages of working with her were so rich and beneficial to my career."

Working with Miranda has been so incredibly valuable. Referrals have boomed, now I never have to worry about having enough clients. Importantly though, I am getting the right clients that fit my interests and expertise. I no longer have to take every presentation that walks through my door, just to have a sustainable business.

Over and above the obvious boom to my business that Miranda has enabled, the initial stages of working with her were so rich and beneficial to my career. We overhauled my website, so it now looks incredibly professional. But the most enjoyable and valuable process for me, was working out my mission and values. Not to put a meaningless mission statement on my website (it doesn’t appear anywhere) but to really help me clarify and define what I want to get out of my career, what interests me, and how I want to develop myself as a practitioner and what niche I want to specialise in. This has all led to greatly increased work satisfaction and a clear path moving forward.
